My housemates and I have four chickens in the backyard that have been consistently laying 2-3 eggs a day for the last 2 months since we got them. However, the littlest hen has been hanging around the coop and pecking at the eggs. Is there any way to prevent this? My little 10 year old female had begun to drink *a lot more water* than usual. I happened to see her in her litter box and realized she was nearly spraying as opposed to her usual SOP.  The vet gets a urine sample and a blood sample.  My border collie has an obsessive licking problem, which I know is usually stemmed from psychological issues (she is a rescue with many strange behaviors, which we've learned how to cope with).  
But there is one issue that is stemming from the licking that I am very concerned for her health.

I've recently taken in a cat.  He was sick at the time we took him in, and now that he's better his real personality has come through.  Now he goes through these manic periods of attacking things.  His pupils dilate and he pounces on things.  Sadly, this includes our elderly dog who topples over because she can't support herself.  I know some cats ( Read more... )
